Headlands Distilling Single Malt Whisky Apera Cask
Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2021. The first release sold out rapidly, with the second release a step above! This batch won the silver medal at the 2021 London Spirits Competition.
Marmalade and dried fruit peel combine with hints of walnuts, complex toasted oak, baked pears and vanilla in this Australian whisky. The whisky in this release was distilled and barrelled in the coastal town of Wollongong in 2016. It has been finished in oak casks that were seasoned with 18 year old Seppeltsfield Rare Rich Apera. Made from Palomino and Grenache grapes grown in the Barossa Valley in South Australia, this is the Australian equivalent of Spanish Oloroso Sherry.
This complex, balanced Australian single malt whisky offers a grain to glass drinking experience, ready to be shared.
